let them eat cake.

I just wanted to put this out there.

Last week I shot 2 different burlesque dancers who, of course, are masters of image and flirtation. I have yet to go through the work because there is a lot to choose from.

This is the first of a few planned shoots I have with Darcy Deville.

New Jersey, for a state that I abandoned without hesitation, I often wonder why I find the most beautiful things when I am there.

I find nothing like this across the "border". I was laughing out loud while taking this photo.

Outrageous!

Burt/Bird Reynolds

Does anyone remember this centerfold? I grew up with it pasted to the back of my best friends basement door, compliments of her Mother.

It's making a comeback in my life.

My friend wants to make a new business card donning him in place of Burt.  Yes, a remake.

His name happens to be "Bird" -well, at least his moniker is Bird.

He is changing his identity to "Bird Reynolds"...see where this is going?

All we need is the bear skin rug and we'll have the shot. I think were gonna be going with  "teddy bear" skin rug.

ART OPENING

I will be part of  group show with 4 other artists...

Friday September 19th @ the Raven Lounge 5pm-10pm

Partial proceeds go to support the Puerto Rican Festival.

This is an installment of The Official Puerto Rican Happy
Hour hosted by Afrotaino Productions.

Come out and enjoy art, drinks, music & friends for a great cause!

it's so sad...

This season the South Jersey great, Clementon Park,
changed it's glorious sign.

It's now a cookie cutter billboard reminiscent of a chinese restaurant. Yea, I think they ordered from the same place the Dollar Tree gets their signage.
They even removed the ferocious white tiger underneath, now why'd they have to go and do that?

Total Boooooo! But, I got a picture of the late & great last year. Yes! I did something right.

craft sale!

So, this weekend I will work my first craft sale.

It's at Ray's Happy Birthday Bar on Passyunk Ave. in Philly right behind Geno's Steaks.

Come checkout the goods & don't forget your wallet!

get down!

I'm pretty sure that this is the exact reason one should always carry a camera. My bar doesn't even have a dancing license, can you imagine if they did?

2007 Italian Festival

These are from the Italian Festival in South Philly last year. Unfortunately I didn't make this years celebration but, if you've seen in my earlier posts there was a mini parade that passed my house.

I just found these and thought I'd play around with a few.

jenny holzer

I really love her work and usually see it incorporated into a public environment but this work was in a gallery space with giant bean bags with a feeling reminiscent of a space age drive in.

I wonder why I don't get tired of her work. I tend to do that, tire of work with this kind of repetition, but Holzer works for me & I find it to be very influential to my work. I like an important message that is not lost to a specific audience such as other artists. That being said, this piece is for other artists due to its gallery location but, I still love it.

petie d

this is petie d.
his legs look sore, right?
he's recovering from a liver transplant &
he's retaining 40 lbs. of water.
watching his progress has been one of the most amazing events I've ever witnessed.

the jersey shore is so great. i get so teary eyed at times remembering the days my single mom and i walked the boards in matching calvin kleins and rainbow shirts.

This was the saddest memorial I have ever shot. It must be the picture, her age. I don't know.
